Beth Hoffer, first grade teacher, was recognized Monday as the Difference Maker Teacher at Goliad Elementary for January while Jamie Myers was recognized as the Staff Member Difference Maker at the school. In a nomination for Hoffer, one person wrote, “Beth is a great team member who is always willing to help out, whether it's learning a new reading curriculum, testing for dyslexia, helping mentor new teachers, or helping me set up a hot chocolate bar. I appreciate her input and sense of humor, especially when things get chaotic.” In the nomination for Myers, one person wrote, “Jamie has taken on a new role on the campus this year and is doing amazing. She has helped us get our new literacy curriculum running, pulls kids for reading groups, facilitates PD and helps our teachers out tremendously. She is a fun, positive person to work with and GES is lucky to have her.”
