I am so excited to be a part of Goliad Elementary School. I attended Goliad Elementary School, Goliad Middle School and graduated from Goliad High School. After graduation I received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Education Degree, with a certification in counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria. I am married and have 2 grown children.
What Does a School Counselor Do?
    Visits Classrooms
     Works with small groups
    Meets with individual students
      Talks with parents/teachers
How Can a Student See the Counselor?

Counseling Sessions
The counselor visits 1st-5th grade classrooms two times a month and K and 6th grade once a month. Topics include: Optimism, Humility, Gratitude, Growth Mindset, Empathy, Forgiveness, Patience, and Compassion. Group sessions are voluntary and offered to all third graders with parent permission. Groups last for 25-30 minutes and meet once a week for 5 weeks.
